Today I reached school by 9:15 am , the HM was not present but we were given instructions through WhatsApp . Today I did not have any class , but observed my fellow student teacher's classes. I first visited class 9A with Akhila and Mahima, introducing ourselves to the students. Then I observed a class Maths Teacher at 10 A with Jomon for better understanding of how to handle the class with expertise.
Reflection
Today was a new experience. I felt a little tensed due to the new atmosphere, I had concerns about how the teachers would be etc , but they were all polite and introduced me and guided me. I got the chance to introduce myself to my class 9A even though I didn't have any classes today. I hope that next day would be as resourceful and interesting like today.

I consider this practice as a great opportunity for me to learn and improve both my character as a teacher and my teaching skills. I found it difficult to handle the students first but slowly they became familiar with me in this short time.

I had class on the 2 nd period at 9A (Malayalam Medium). I taught Chemistry, the topic Acids from the chapter Acid, Bases and Salts of II nd part text. The class was a little difficult to handle but overall it was a resourceful class for the students and me in many ways. After my class I helped regulate discipline in classes of my fellow trainee teachers for better teaching learning process. Tomorrow is a holiday due to the teachers having a cluster meeting all over the state.
Reflection
Today was resourceful day for me. I had my first class today. I was very nervous because I did not know how the students would react to my teaching. It was also my first time teaching at a Malayalam medium classroom , I had difficulties while explaining definitions, due to influence of English terms like force, velocity, acceleration due to gravity etc. Students were cooperative but a little noisy at the class. I used teaching aids like videos and PowerPoint presentations to capture the attention of students. They were quiet interested in the videos asked a lot of questions both related and non-related to the topic. I will try to improve my class by practicing the terms in Malayalam more than in English.

I feel satisfied with Today's classes I could communicate better with the students due to them getting familiar with me. They no longer avoid my questions and are giving good and correct responses to my questions. Today I could make my classes more interactive and I hope it was fun and Educating. My nervousness at my first day slowly washed away with today's section. I hope I could make my class a little more entertaining to catch the students eyes , thus imprinting what I taught today. I still had difficulty in teaching Malayalam medium as I often forget to say technical terms in Malayalam.

Hunting of these powerful animals, along with deforestation, illegal logging, and the introduction of domestic livestock, as well as climate change and ecosystem changes, have all acted as problems that prevent the jaguar populations from thriving over the past several decades.
With estimated losses of approximately 50% of their historic range, and up to 20% loss in just the past 15 years, jaguars need special care and attention. In 2020, the World Wildlife Federation (WWF) launched a regional strategy for jaguars with the goal of increasing the population of jaguars along with their habitat by the year 2030.

“ESG” is a term that started to be used in 2006 when the United Nations was developing plans and principles for investing responsibly. Since that time, ESG has become a standard by which organizations, government agencies and companies can evaluate their impact on the world, including how well they operate on a sustainable level.
In an effort to raise awareness about these global issues, International ESG Day was established to act as a reminder and motivator to raise the bar on the way the actions of people, and especially groups of people, are impacting the world around them, with the purpose of creating a better tomorrow. Fostering collaboration and highlighting achievements are just some of the many ways that International ESG Day seeks to foster a commitment to a brighter future.

Day 9 (Dec 1)
Importance of the day
Every year, on 1 December, the world commemorates World AIDS Day. People around the world unite to show support for people living with and affected by HIV and to remember those who lost their lives to AIDS.
The world can end AIDS, with communities leading the way. Organisations of communities living with, at risk of, or affected by HIV are the frontline of progress in the HIV response. Communities connect people with person-centred public health services, build trust, innovate, monitor implementation of policies and services, and hold providers accountable.
But communities are being held back in their leadership. Funding shortages, policy and regulatory hurdles, capacity constraints, and crackdowns on civil society and on the human rights of marginalised communities, are obstructing the progress of HIV prevention and treatment services. If these obstacles are removed, community-led organisations can add even greater impetus to the global HIV response, advancing progress towards the end of AIDS.
This World AIDS Day is more than a celebration of the achievements of communities; it is a call to action to enable and support communities in their leadership roles.
Today's Class
Today as part of World Aids day there was a program from the health department in the school. A Kadhaprasangam from a famous group was conducted on Awareness towards AIDS. It gave emphasis towards the cure and the various programmes that are provided by our government. It was both entertaining and educational at the same time.

After that in the 6 th period I took the rest of the portion in Chemistry , finishing the chapter.
Today there was another programme based on the Junk food and diseases caused by it. It was a concretization programme conducted on behalf of Olathanni College of Education.
Reflection
Today's classes were good, as the students were cooperative. They were eager to learn due to the usage of PPT and various videos about topic. I also had the pressure of finishing the portions before exam, but I got time for taking class at my own pace and making the students understand the topic.

It was a surprise when Bindya teacher arrived at school. Unfortunately she couldn't see the classes of the English students as there was lack of periods due to the immense rush due to examination. She awarded the students who won prize in competition that was conducted last week. She also explained the examination timetable. The students were to pay Rs. 20 for getting answer sheets for examination.
I conducted a small examination on the topic I taught in Physics, Work Energy and Power. I gave 8 questions for 20 marks, each of them were taught to them previously. The exam was conducted at the 3rd period and all of them finished the examination before the bell rang.
I made sure that no one copied their answers. Most girls wrote right answers , boys struggled a little but were satisfactory.
I checked the papers and found that the highest score 18/20 was obtained by Abhirami, the rest of the girls did not disappoint but they were some that scored low. The boys struggled in this test and had mediocre and very low marks, which made me a little sad. I hope they will learn from this examination and improve in the Christmas examination.
Today is the last day we are here in the school. We will only return to the school at January .
Reflection
Today was a busy day as I had to conduct a small examination, it was good but some students have a one the idea and lack the capability to show it in the answer paper.
